Restoring "Spats" Two Tone Leather Shoes

These shoes called "Spats" are a blast from the past. As you can see, they were dull with age and wear. The owner, an avid "shag dancer" (a dance made popular along the coast of the Carolina's) wanted them restored to their original brilliance.

After cleaning, I started the process of redyeing the color.

Notice how drastically this process improves the appearance.

Once fully cleaned and dyed, I treated them with a final coat of leather oil. Now these Spats are ready to go back on the dance floor. Hope you get many more years of use out of them.
