This Coach handbag was damaged when Hurricane Sandy
came through Long Island New York .
It was recovered from a car which had been flooded with ocean water.
The handbag was given to the owner by her brother, who had passed away a couple of years ago. It had a lot of sentimental value and she did not want to part with it.
A friend, knowing what this bag meant to her, wanted to have it restored. He was directed to my blog where he contacted me to see if I could fix the handbag.
He then asked, "can you have it done and shipped back by Christmas Day?" At first, I wasn't sure because this work usually takes 2 -3 weeks and Christmas was just a little more than a week away. I told him to ship it over-night and I would do my best. Fortunately, I was able to get started on it the next day.
It took a lot of effort, but thankfully everything went extremely well. I was able to finish all the work in a few days and over-night it back in time for Christmas.
Below are pictures after I finished restoring her handbag.
Here is his response after receiving the package:
"WOW! The package arrived ten minutes ago and I feel like a kid on Christmas day. It looks beautiful. I can hardly wait to see her face Christmas morning. Thank you so very much. Hope all your wishes come true because mine just did. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
I was glad to do something that would bring joy to someone this holiday season.
